STEWARD

Accessibility

STEWARD is built to be usable by people with a wide range of abilities. We commit to WCAG 2.2 AA as our working standard and ship native display controls so every reader can tune the app to fit.

Built-in Display & Accessibility controls

Open the accessibility panel from the floating Accessibility button in the bottom-right corner of any page (or the Aa link in the header where shown). Your preferences save on this device.

  • One-tap presets: Older Adults, Easier Reading, Easier Tapping, Calm / Focus, Seizure Safe, Low Vision.
  • Text size & spacing: six size steps and four spacing steps.
  • Contrast: Standard, High, Highest.
  • Fonts: switch to Atkinson Hyperlegible or Lexend.
  • Motion: respect the OS setting, force reduced motion, or force full motion.
  • Vision aids: low/high saturation, monochrome, larger controls, big cursor.
  • Reading aids: read mode, reading guide, reading mask, highlight titles/links, amplified focus ring.
  • Page zoom: six zoom steps up to roughly 175%.

Keyboard & assistive tech

  • All interactive controls are reachable by keyboard with visible focus.
  • Dialogs and menus trap and restore focus and close with Esc.
  • Icon-only buttons carry an accessible name.
  • Every route exposes one <main> landmark.

Known limitations

A handful of surfaces are still being tuned, including some dense admin tables and certain third-party embeds (e.g. Stripe Checkout). If a screen or flow is hard to use, please tell us so we can prioritize a fix.
